~The Anchors, Chapter 5: Migration~

The Anchors have left Woody. They all think he is pretty strange, anyway. His soul purpose in a zombie apocolypse is to get a twinky? It is about this time that the group realizes the dissaperence of Cole. They mourn and move on. There is nothing else for them to do. No gain in doing anything else. They have to keep on their mission of stopping the apocolypse.                 After hours and hours of walking, and wandering the dusty and hot streets of San Antonio, the Anchors find themselves in downtown. You would expect the downtown of a large city in a zombie apocolypse to be filled to the brim with zombies, wouldn't you? So do the Anchors. Their amazement at a ghost town, and not literally, gives them even more curiosity. The sun is burning their skin. It smells like blood. They hear occasional screams in the distance. And Nick won't stop singing.         Minte points out a building. An o...

~The Anchors, Chapter 4: Remember the Alamo~

There's been an invasion. There's blood everywhere. Avery wakes up to all the noise and confusion. He sees people running around screaming and hears alarms going off everywhere. The group runs to the front desk to ask what's happening.         Sally is at the desk. "Hi there. Everything's going to be alright, there is just a few people, trying to get in the building, who we don't want to be here." Her voice annoys Avery. He looks around for his brother, but he is nowhere to be seen. Maybe he just went to the bathroom or something.         Someone a few meters away yells, "They are surrounding the building! We are done for!" That's when all chaos breaks loose. The windows shatter. Almost all at once. Glass covers the floor. Sirens are going off and red lights are flashing. Police men are guiding everyone in the building downstairs. Avery runs with the group following the police men's orders and looks back to see ...

Grenade

He knows of the pain He knows of the sorrow He knows that a smile Is so hard to borrow He knows that life's tough But we can't avoid people Even though he's a grenade Those people are still meaningful He couldn't live without them So he takes the risk He throws a wild hail marry Hoping life will catch, and he won't miss It seems like at some point we all have to And sometime's we explode And the very people we thought loved us We will see they have to go But on that rare magical chance You might see the pixi dust From a tiny fairy's dance Says that person is a must

~The Anchors, Chapter 3: Confusion~

The rain stops. The sky clears. The sun shines so bright and hot. The whole group is weary and tired from the battle they just fought. While a few of them give in to that tiredness and rest in the vans, a few decide to scout the area. Joseph takes Ajax, and Minte takes Tank. Along with Nick, Tray, and Justice, they walk around the corner. It seems as if the battle had brought every zombie in that part of town to them. The battle on Elm Street, as they decided to call it, had been easier than they had thought. It still exhausted them. They need food and water. After checking and clearing the two adjacent streets, the small scouting group decides to head back. As they approach the van, they hear a small commotion. It seems silent but then every few seconds people are talking all at once. They run up to see what's happening and they intrude on a game of silent football.           Nick wakes and checks his watch. About nine hours...

Prompt #211, The Clean Sock

It was Larry's time to shine. Right and Left Larry were folded neatly and ready to be a comfort to somebody's nasty, smelly foot today! He would show Gonzales and Fredrick that he could be cool too. Of course, they were Nikes. Larry was just a no show white pair of socks. He was on top of the washing machine, waiting. Finally, the human came! He did not have any socks on yet either!!! Maybe he would choose Larry! The hand came down upon right Larry and he was picked up! Then dropped. Right Larry was laying on the ground. He looked up and saw the human say, "Oh well." He watched as Left Larry fell to the ground slowly. They were kicked under the washing machine. A single tear streamed down that small piece of white cotton. Two hours later, a different human picked them up and stuck them in the washing machine. "WHAT?" Exclaimed Larry. Did they not know that he was clean? This was a level ten offense! The pitiful human should feel sorry for himself...

~The Anchors, Chapter 2: The Battle of Elm Street~

Nick was bleeding. It was bad. "We have to amputate it!" Steven screamed. "You can't just amputate someone's head!" Joseph yelled in response. It was over. They had to shoot him. Just kidding. That part comes later in the story. Let's back up. ................................................................................................................ The sky was black. Thunder shook the earth and lightning lit up the sky behind the massive buildings. In the distance, silhouetted figures flung out of the windows of these sky scrapers. Rain was pouring, just like the zombies. Dallas, the ninth largest city in the United States of America, was zombie ruined. The hoard in front of them was intimidating. The zombie survival guide taught them that zombies can run up to two times as fast as a normal human being, because they don't feel the pain in their chest or the heavy lungs that humans feel when they run. These zombies were running that fast...
