Ode to Me
(Project for English class)
The ode of this prose that I write now is dedicated to him
The crazy guy, anything but shy, tall and very thin
His speed helped him to often succeed in music and many sports
Because his legs moved and his arms grooved, on drums and down the court
He lived a happy life
Yea, he knew what was right
He loved his wife
It's a shame he died
He was an honorable man
And he was very tan
His children are so grand
And he rocked his band
The ode of this prose that I write now is electric with energy
Because I get pumped and my heart will thump, yea it's not a eulogy
His life was great and he made cakes and sold them for his living
What a billionaire, a chef so rare, those recipes unforgiving
He lived a decent life
Yea, he was just alright
He at least had a wife
It's a shame he died
He was a normal man
But he was very tan
His children played with sand
In a desperate land
If you read into this
You might just find
That you could miss
The purpose in the rhymes
If you look for what really matters in life
I guarantee that if you push behind
The riches and the fame
You might discover
One after another
It's all the same
Loving God and living for Him
Living a life fleeing from sin
That's how to live a life
If there was one thing he'd want you to remember
About his and your lives together
You can't be perfect but you can strive
