Glasses and Wings

She sits on the bench  With nothing to do She wears her glasses To try to see through The blurriness of life What a painful thing The only thing to fix it Is the glasses or wings If you stand in the mess Glasses might help But if you are above the rest It's clear as can be So grab my hand I'll help you fly Above it all Into the sky And you might as well bring those glasses along Just in case
"He's actually just a nerd inside but tries to cover it up by being a jock and musician." -my mom And this is the story of my life.

Second best moments

Wendy come with me, I'm fed up with waiting Let's run away and see the world  We'll journey across the continent And when we reach the east coast we'll make a boat We'll sail all the way to Europe We'll go to London and Paris Madrid and Berlin Rome and Dublin Edinburgh and Cardiff Athens and Monaco Reykjavik and Oslo We'll explore Copenhagen and Amsterdam  Just you and me We'll explore the rest of the world too, Just wait and see Every moment will be the second best moment Only to the next

Absolute truths

The color of flowers never changes There's no need to tell Roses are always red And violets always blue But if that is so than I shouldn't be writing this Because the purpose was to tell That no matter what happens I'll always be there for you So if I write... Believe what I said Because it's the truth No matter what happens I'll be there for you I might as well say Roses are red And violets are blue Believe me darling I love you

Dream

Do I cross your mind every single night Honey do you think of me? Do you dream of Who knows where, knowing I'll be there  Tell me, who's your every nights dream? Do you dream of revelations or weird occasions Cuz I dream differently, I see Two best friends laughing over again Me and you and you and me I dream I know you can dream of a billion things And you could not even fathom them all But what is much stronger and half times as small Is something that is unfathomable Times and the time are confusing things because Time grows forever but timesing makes bigger Timesing half by a half can only make smaller but the small Is only a bigger small and I know you don't know what I'm saying and I know you can't fathom my praying and I see you don't know what I see and that is what kind of things I see in my dreams Do I cross your mind every single night Honey do you think of me? Do you dream of Who knows where, knowing I'll

Sunflower Memories

Lately I've been writing of memories Over and over again It's like long ago I planted some seeds And now, they're over my head A random dirt path leads to a cliff The sunflower memories up over the edge And on the edge  Is a storehouse Of all the things I ever did The trees covered the road And the house was so unknown The cliff with a tree just a few yards away God please don't let this house decay Cuz long memories and childhood dreams Were born in this sand Cuz our memories and all my daydreams Were born in this land Lately I've been thinking of the future It's so unlike what I'd do It's like long ago I met you But I didn't think I'd see you this soon Cuz this yellow brick road leads to a mansion And sunflower seeds begin to grow And on the porch Steps to the storehouse Of all the things I'll ever do And trees covered the road The house somehow unknown The town and a sea just a few miles away God please don't let this house decay Cuz o
I had a dream the other night where I was given wings. They were very small, but I could fly so it was awesome. I wasn't allowed to wear them at school though. That stunk. Overall it was pretty cool.

Here's to the Change

Bleeding out  Pouring out All of my self Bleeding out the nights we had Thinking of all else Pouring out some times we shared Ridding it all Gone Here's to the here and now Here's to the change Here's until the end we bow Here's till we break Let the old times die Let the old nights wither Let our old thoughts dissipate  And now declare the winner Here's to now Praising up Lifting up Lifting my face A hand comes out of the top of the mud There's life from the grace Hatching eggs become new Forgetting it all Gone So here's to the here and now Here's to the change Here's until the end we bow Here's till we break Let the old times die Let the old nights wither Let our old thoughts dissipate And now declare the winner Here's to now Here's to the change Here's to the change Let our old thoughts dissipate Here's to forever

In my Head

Strings vibrate as I hear my new tune Things silent until they are made new In my head Recollections in my head Hear voices of a small certain few And I can't stop thinking of you  In my head Recollections in my head And they're made new When I sing My new song Recollections in my head I'm laying down on the couch  And i open my eyes I just dreamed about  The biggest surprise All of my friends Coming down to the house Music is blasting  I then get suddenly doused Since I can't get enough Memories of us I start to make new ones, I dream Of recollections in my head Strings vibrate as I hear my new tune Things silent until they are made new In my head Recollections in my head Hear voices of a small certain few And I can't stop thinking of you  In my head Recollections in my head And they're made new When I sing My new song Recollections in my head You're sitting down on the porch And you're reading a book You think you hear my Porsche  You then turn to look
From riding in a van talking of nerdy things  To racing and playing against other teams  From bringing a hoop down very slow To eating mushrooms 'cause of a bad shot from a bow From winning a silent game of football To watching Minte collect as I watch my poker chips fall From drumming to all of my favorite songs To tree hopping and parkour with a few ding dongs ;) From sliding into home getting a bloody knee To discovering that this group is my family From making memories and beautiful thoughts To studying Ecclesiastes and learning more of our God January 2015
"How about next year?" "Will you play next year?" "You'll be varsity" "We need you" okay.
I think it went the other way... She taught me how to fly

Again with the basketball...

I took the ball dribbling The court was so long I didn't even know where I was going And that was the first thing wrong I couldn't see the end of the court But I felt sure I was heading to my basket I shot and fell short And it was closer to my casket I discovered why I missed It was because I was at the three point line If I wouldn't have insisted Against my gut, I'd be fine Or at least more towards my ring But now I think I'm finally closer I won't take my shot until I know it's bling I'll wait to dunk, it even has more style And with God on my side this time, Even though it might take a while I won't let there be a rebound to catch It will be a 100% shot Because rebounds tell you you missed And that was the second thing wrong My basketball game isn't close to over And when it might feel like a quarter or half time is here It's just half of that Until it ends And I'm not allowed to see the scoreboard But I can try to keep track in my he

A Journey Back Home

She sits home waiting On her porch The sun sets, but he's still north And the sky grows pink The air gets cold And she feels as though she's growing old When will you be home, darling? She asks to the sky She plays through her head of when he was waving goodbye It's been forever now And I need you here She needs to hear his horse Darling when will you be back from the north? I need to hear you say hello I need you to come home As the sun goes down, she decides that it's late She turns to head inside Another day of waiting But her eyes open wide When she turns around to the sound of a horse Trotting up the trail in the trees She almost falls to her knees Because she's waited so long for this moment When he'll come home Well now he's home She runs up to meet him with a tear in her eye And as he arrives, she cries "Oh my!"  He looks so different, and he's gotten older But his eye is black and there's a scar on his shoulder Darling you've b
