Sunflower Memories

Lately I've been writing of memories
Over and over again
It's like long ago I planted some seeds
And now, they're over my head
A random dirt path leads to a cliff
The sunflower memories up over the edge
And on the edge
Is a storehouse
Of all the things
I ever did

The trees covered the road
And the house was so unknown
The cliff with a tree just a few yards away
God please don't let this house decay
Cuz long memories and childhood dreams
Were born in this sand
Cuz our memories and all my daydreams
Were born in this land

Lately I've been thinking of the future
It's so unlike what I'd do
It's like long ago I met you
But I didn't think I'd see you this soon
Cuz this yellow brick road leads to a mansion
And sunflower seeds begin to grow
And on the porch
Steps to the storehouse
Of all the things
I'll ever do

And trees covered the road
The house somehow unknown
The town and a sea just a few miles away
God please don't let this house decay
Cuz our memories and all my daydreams
Are born in this land
And long memories and childhood dreams
Are born in this land!

Tell me I'm sleeping cuz I feel half awake
I don't know where I am and I'm so ashamed
I don't even know how old I am
Is this the past for the future? And where is this land?
Trees cover this road
This house is so unknown
The door to my dreams just a few thoughts away
God please don't let this house decay

Trees covered the road
And the house was so unknown
The cliff and a tree just a few yards away
God please don't let this house decay
Cuz long memories and childhood dreams
Were born in this sand
Our memories and all my daydreams
Were born in this land
