~The Anchors, Chapter 5: Migration~

The Anchors have left Woody. They all think he is pretty strange, anyway. His soul purpose in a zombie apocolypse is to get a twinky? It is about this time that the group realizes the dissaperence of Cole. They mourn and move on. There is nothing else for them to do. No gain in doing anything else. They have to keep on their mission of stopping the apocolypse.

After hours and hours of walking, and wandering the dusty and hot streets of San Antonio, the Anchors find themselves in downtown. You would expect the downtown of a large city in a zombie apocolypse to be filled to the brim with zombies, wouldn't you? So do the Anchors. Their amazement at a ghost town, and not literally, gives them even more curiosity. The sun is burning their skin. It smells like blood. They hear occasional screams in the distance. And Nick won't stop singing.
Minte points out a building. An open building. The lights are on, and people are inside. Charlton walks in without hesitation. Usually, a group of totally weaponized teenage guys walking in the middle of the street, in downtown San Antonio, would strike you as strange. Scary even. It does not compare with what happens in that building.
As soon as the group walks in, Charlton stops them at the door. It is smokey, and smells terrible. Large, body-builder looking men with tatoos all over their skin play billiards and darts. They drink and drink and it has the terrible stench of alchahol. The television is on a looped recording of the last Spurs game. In the back of the room, a man opens a door and walks into a back room, and in the split second that the door is open, shreiks and terrored screams are all that's heard. Nick starts running into that room, not worried at all about the men standing around him. The rest of the group follows.
"We told you to give us the folders! Where are they?" A large man yelled. It seems as if someone behind him, the person that he is yelling at, is laying on the floor. As Nick gets a better look, he sees a man in a white lab coat with glasses.
"I said I'm not giving them to you. What you plan to do to the human race will destr-"
As fast as lightning, a whip flashes onto the side of the man on the ground.
"You give us these folders or we'll kill you!" The large man yelled again. When the scientist see's the Anchors standing at the back of the room, he immediately shouts, "Save me!" The rest of the men turn around, and the Anchors scatter. They quickly pull out their weapons. Justice hurls two knives straight at a muscle maniac running straight towards him and the man falls. Steven jumps on to a table and whips out two pistols. He shoots one more grunt down, while the man with the wip comes from behind and flips the table. He flashes one whip straight onto Steven's back and a line of blood appears over his white tank top.
Minte, with his iconic wolverine blades, tackles the man to the ground. After one quick strike to the face, which creates four scars over the eyes of the man, a sumo-wrestler-looking guy lifts Minte up and puts him into a choke hole. Nick has a rifle in his hands, aimed straight at the asian threatening his friend. The man backs up slowly, and Steven, in the confusion, knifes the man in the back. Minte falls to the floor and the boss with the whip comes up again.
Tray notices the scientist sneaking away. Him, Jack, and Alex follow him. Back in the fight, the boss with the wip, and one more of his henchman stand tall. Nick has his rifle aimed at him, again, and Steven is on the back wall now with his knife. Minte is on the ground between the boss and the rest of the group. Avery sprints to the left, and Joseph sprints to the right. Suddenly, the unthinkable happens. Thomas pushes Nick and Justice out of the way and stands in front of the boss yelling, "KAMI HAMI HAAAA!!!" and a beam of light burts from his hands and sends the man flying backwards. Steven jumps out of the way just in time and the wall behind him collapses with the impact of the large body builder.
The last man, who has been pretty quiet the whole time, backs up slowly and Nick's rifle goes off at his feet. This shot sends the man running out of the room balling like a hipster in a anti-enviromental activist club. The Anchors look around, and see Tray shoving the front door of the building open and running behind Alex. Jack quickly starts after them.
The group runs outside and sees the chase. They are chasing that scientist guy who they just saved! Nick glances around, and sees a bicycle. Joseph glances around, and sees a Ducati motorcycle. While Nick hops on and falls off like a hero, Joseph starts up the engine of the boss of a bike. The wheels come alive and spin so fast, and he is off. Nick runs with the rest of the group, partly because he gave up on trying to get on the bike, and partly because the bike was locked to the bike stand. The group arrives at a scene. The scientist climbs into a small Cessna, which is just parked in the middle of the street. Alex pulls something out of his backpack and throws it at the aircraft. Nick expects an explosion or something of the sort, but it just sticks to the tail of the plane. The scientist flies off and they stand there and watch.
           "Jared R. Fitzgerald." Justice mutters.
All eyes turn to him. "Who?" Nick replies.
"Jared R. Fitzgerald." Justice says again, louder, holding up a pen. "It looks like he dropped it."
Alex does a quick google search and comes up with a picture of the exact person. The information given about this mysterious figure is plentiful. He is not so mysterious anymore. He is indeed a scientist, and he lives in Los Angeles. He majored in chemistry and has produced many usefull medicines. The latest update on the man was a drug meant for injection into zombies that was a counter effect of what the virus did to the human and formed the zombie back into a human, but unfortunately could not revive him.
"A news cast says that the drug he invented is highly illegal in the United States because of a recent accident that happened in his lab in L.A." Alex says. "The gaseous form of this drug was being tested so it would be easier to get into the zombie's systems and a man was exposed to it. It responded in the human's blood line, to give expansion in the nerves and muscles of the man and he grew about four feet, his muscles ripped, and he had a stroke. It says that he intends to gather the most significant humans and protect them from this gaseous killing device, while he infects the rest of the world to rid of the zombies and start over human life. It is in fact proven to work on zombies." Alex finishes.

...

...

"Looks like we're going to L.A." Nick says.

After the best night's sleep that they have had in a week, the group votes on what to do.
"What are we going to do? Go to the airport or something?" Avery says.
"We could drive there." Jack answered.
"I found a motorcycle!" Joseph adds.
"Nobody cares!" Minte makes an arc with his hands, mocking Joseph.
"If we can find a smaller, local airport, we could get a plane there and we wouldn't have to deal with many zombies." Alex said.
"But who here can fly a plane?" asks Tray.
"I could if there's a tutorial on Yout-" Alex started
"How about no!" Joseph shoots back.
"The planes can only seat a few people, anyway." Jack stated.
"Thank you Mr. Captain Seargent Obvious" Ryan retorts.

Ok. After the best night's sleep that they have had in a week, the group argues on what to do.

...............................................................................................................................

Jack had never driven an RV before. The expirience is cool, but it is very difficult. He and Alex switch off every few hours while the rest of the group hangs in the back. Joseph, Nick, Justice, and Avery play Texas Hold 'Em. It comes night time and everyone is asleep. The road keeps going. Hours and hours pass and landscape changes. They keep going. It seems as if someone with a large truck, or something of the sort, had gone through the highways and pushed all the cars off the street. That makes it very easy to drive.
The morning comes and they make a stop at a gas station. It is, of course, deserted. Ryan breaks the lock with a hammer he decided to start carrying around. He turns on the lights and darts to the restroom. The men's room seems taken. Lord knows how, or by who. Ryan opens the women's door and closes it behind him. Hey, it's a zombie apocolypse. You gotta do what you gotta do to survive.
After several minutes of everyone picking out what snacks they want to take, they all went back to the RV. As Jack is the last one out. As he closes the door, he hears a shreik. Coming from the bathroom.
                      Ryan.
Nick, Joseph, and Jack run to his rescue. They kick the door down and see a horrible sight. A zombie arm and head stick through a zombie-made hole in between the two restrooms. How did a somebody get bitten on the pot?! Ryan sits on the toilett screaming at the zombie, and now the fact that three other teenage guys are in the same room as him. Nick blows the face of the hideous creature to bits with a rifle at point blank range. He kicks the other door down and shoots him again for the double tap. The now dead undead wears a suit and tie. The sleeves are mostly chewed off and the collar is torn. He wears a nametag. What's up with people and wearing nametags? Does anyone actually do that anymore? Anyway, the name on this reads Billy Ray Cyrus. Nick decides to shoot one more shot when he sees this and mutters, "That's for making such a disgusting creature."
"He was actually probably one of the most handsome undead that we've seen so far" Jack states.
"I was talking about his daughter. And you have a sick mind, sir!" Nick answers.

..................................................................................................................

Avery wakes and looks out the window. The morning sun comes just over a hill with a large word mounted on it. "Hollywood." he says to himself.

About an hour later, Alex announces, "We are about 5 minutes away from the gps location of the tracker that I stuck to his Cessna."
"We're in L.A. Let's go sight seeing!" Joseph replies.
Tray lets out a gruesome roar in agreement.

Jack pulls to the side of the road at what looks like a plane crash. But it is definitely not the plane that Dr. Fitzgerland flew here. It looks more like a giant hover craft. On the side, it labels, "S.H.I.E.L.D." That's when Ajax jumps on top of Joseph, and Minte gets pumbled by Tank.

"Hello!" Yells Rebekah on the other side of the street.
