~The Anchors, Chapter 6: Anchorettes~

She runs across the street. She greets us all with hugs. The rest of the clan appears from over the hill. Grace with an axe over her shoulder. Faith and Hope with bows and arrows. Melissa is holding a pistol. Madi, Maya, Rachael, and Lily skip across the street looking harmless and happy, until you notice the deadly weapons at their sides. They are covered in blood, but none of them look injured. Jordan and Jenna. Caroline, like a deadly midget, with a red-stained hammer. Debbie, Carissa, the other Caroline, Natalie, Jennifer, Jillian, Katie, Lindsay, and Baylie. They all look worn from a long journey. Emily brings up the rear, riding a brown horse with a long, black mane. She has a sabre at her side. This looks like a vicious, zombie killing, girlscout troop.

After a few minutes of reunion and backstories and laughs and cries and basically everything you would see if a mother gave birth at a funeral, the two groups get to buisness. (That was a terrible description, the author appologizes)
"We decided to come with you guys the day after you left, but we have spent all this time trying to catch up. Emily found a cool horse on the way here. Her name is Clove. Anyway, the parents didn't want us to go, but we needed to do what we could to save them, and our siblings. We are going to work with you from now on to try to stop this apocolypse." Rebekah said.
        "Fantastic!" Alex replied.
There was much laughter. Then, about four minutes and 17 seconds of referencing a show and laughing about it.
        "So we found a-"
"And that reminds me of Fringe!" Alex said. *laugh laugh laugh choke*
"So we found a large crash sight, it looks like, of some... thing." Nick said. "It says Shield on the side."
"Tom Hiddleston!!!" A few girls shreiked.

...

       "He's a zombie!!!!"

...

And that was the death of Tom Hiddleston.

Slowly, the group shuffled down the hill to where the crash sight was. "This isn't a crash sight! It's a movie set!" Joseph exclaimed.
"Thank you Mr. Captain Seargent Ob-"
"Shut up, Ryan!" Grace yelled. It amazed Joseph how much sass girls could have.
The place was huge. The whole set of the Avengers, except for New York City, was here. It overlooked the beach. The sun was setting. It was perfect. Except for the zombies. Movie producers, camera men, other non-significant people, and... Them. It was them. They must have been filming when they all got bit! They were still in costume...

"Ok so one thing you need to know about are battles, is that they usually start off with-"
"WHOOOOO!!!!!" Steven shrieked as he ran into battle.
"Yea, just like that." Joseph finishes.

All chaos breaks out. The girls swarm to battle fighting zombified camera men, movie producers, and such. The guys almost forget to help them, because they are amazed at what they see. A zombie launches itself at Hope. She side steps, draws an arrow, and lets it fly at the zombie, who is pinned to the ground with an arrow. Baylie comes from behind and slices off the head. Melissa blows the knees of a relatively chubby man with a headset on. Of course, he was undead also. Rebekah meets the falling sumo with a dagger in the chest, and Caroline is already behind it with a hammer to make the final blow. The girls work in teams so well, while the guys mostly fight individually. The guys learn so much from the girls.
Joseph, Nick, and Minte run to the scene when they see Steven fighting Chris Evans, or Captain America. The thing still has it's shield. Thankfully, it isn't as strong as it was in the movie, and he doesn't throw it. For a zombie, he has great coordination. Steven meets the shield with a blade. The zombie pushes him backwards and he falls on the ground. Joseph shoots it in the leg to get it's attention off of his friend, and Nick starts firing rifle shots. A bullet sprung off the shield and hit the approaching Scarlett Johansson which brought her to the ground. Minte brought her to her second death with one hit from the wolverine blades of destiny.
Chris Evans runs straight at Joseph. Justice pops out of nowhere and meets him with a shotgun on the forehead. The zombie does not respond how a human would and makes a swipe at Justice and he gets a scar on his chest and backs up fast. The captain doesn't stop there. With an incredible jump, it flings itself on top of Justice and gets a shot in the head from Joseph's revolver. Close call.
Jeremy Renner, or Hawkeye, jumps from above and lands just to the left of Avery, almost knocking him to the floor. Tray, Jack, and Alex turn towards him and start firing, but the zombie is quick. He falls to the ground and starts army crawling at an unnatural speed to their legs. He makes a bite attempt at Alex's ankle, but he jumps and Jack fires a shot below the feet of Alex and hits the back of the neck of the zombie. It then gets up and Tray meets him with an axe in the forehead. It doesn't cut all the way through, but brings him to the ground again.
A pirate tackles Jack to the ground. Nick Fury tears a chunk out of Jack's arm. Time goes into slow motion. Avery lets out a scream and raps his arms around the waist of the zombie. He pulls as hard as he can, while Alex and Tray run to his aid. Samuel Jackson pushes his weight backwards, bringing Avery to the ground. Like an aligator, the zombie turns around and flings his mouth towards the face of the boy, but it was too late. Alex had sliced off the head of this terror before he bit another Anchor.
Avery, Tray, and Alex run back to Jack who is lying on the ground covered in blood. Alex yells for help which grabs the attention of Clark Gregg, or Agent Phil. He is a little slower, but in a matter of seconds, makes their way to them. Avery, in his anger, whips out a shotgun and blows off the head of this undead agent. Attention is back to Jack. The only thing Tray could think to do was to slice off the infected arm. Alex grabs a nearby rag and raps it around the wound and carries Jack, with Avery's help up the hill to the street.
Justice, Joseph, Nick, Minte, and Steven are trapped. There are four zombie camera men and Mark Ruffalo backing them up into a corner.  Stevens guns are all laying on the ground where he fell about twenty feet away. Joseph had dropped one of his revolvers and the other was out of ammo. Nick dropped his rifle, when his bullet bounced off of the shield. Justice has two throwing knives, but they wouldn't help in this scenario. The closest people are Alex, Tray, and Avery, but they seem partially busy. Charlton, Ryan, and Thomas are on the other side of the battle ground and they would never make it on time. The zombies make their attack. They all hurl themselves at the defensless Anchors at the same time, but suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Emily rides on her horse to the rescue and blocks the zombie's attack. She hops off from behind her horse and tosses the five guys some pistols. The horse jumps out of the way and they fire and get these undead killers out of the way.
"We have to help them!" Emily points at Charlton, Ryan, and Thomas. They are fighting Chris Hemsworth and a full suited Robert Downey Jr. The guys collect their guns, and Joseph picks up a katana. Justice finds his various weapons that he needs and they make their way to the deck of the ship where the runway would be.
"Hurgfurlgtzwertn!!" Yells Chris Hemsworth. 'He is definitely not attractive anymore,' thought Grace to herself. She brings her axe up to the head of the cave man who forces it back down with a large hammer. Emily rides up on her horse and makes a slash at him. It is deflected and sparks fly everywhere. Iron Man slams into the horse who stumbles backwards, but is not injured. Emily flies off and is caught by Rebekah, somehow.

 "THAT. IS. MY. SISTERRR!!!!!"

................................................................................................................

Nobody knows what happened next. It was on the top zombie kills of the year on twitter along with Thomas' hidden power move earlier on in that week, but you couldn't tell what happened. There was a huge flash of light and all that was heard was Jarvis. "You have exceeded 12,000 percent power. Shutting off." A huge explosion knocks the sense out of everyone, but doesn't seem to injure anyone but the zombies.

Ryan talks about what happened for hours. "And then you turned into like a super spagetti monster and just started sending flashing balls of light at like everyone and they were like oh you wanna fight but you were like oh no sister and like blew them to pieces and-"
"Shut up, Ryan!" Faith yelled this time. Joseph was again amazed.
The Anchorettes were warriors. That was a fact. Suddenly, Caroline yells, "Look! At the top of the hill!"
The group rushes to the street and sees Alex, Tray, and Avery crouching over somebody crying. It was Jack. "He turned." Alex says. "We had to." Avery finishes.

..................................................................................................................

Caroline, Rebekah, Emily, Alex, Joseph, and Nick walk on the beach. Everyone else is too tired. They are sleeping in vans that were "barrowed" as Steven put it. On the beach, nobody talks. The day was eventful, but terrible. The fighting had worn them down. They all smell bad, especially Alex. The water is cool on their feet and the sand is soft between their toes. Alex tells the girls more about the journey that they have had and all the things that have happened, from the Battle at Elm, to the Battle of the Alamo. He tells them about the bar fight and the scientist and how they need to find him. As he reaches the end of his tale, he sees maybe ten or fifteen men. They are surrounding someone and beating him. As the get closer, the realize that it's Cole.
