See you "Soon"

I've been gone far too long
In weeks I haven't written
One single song
We haven't talked in a day or two
Things are so busy
I want to hear from you
But really I am the one to blame
This whatever it is
Is not a game
I truly miss you all the time
And I think oh so often
When could I call you mine?
But I'll keep on waiting for
The Lord's timing
And that open door
But once it opens, don't expect me to
Take the time to wipe
The mud off my shoes
Early this week I know I'll see you
But of course that is billions of years
Until time follows through
You're so amazing and the only tune
That's stuck in my head today
So I'll see you "soon"
